An Update...

I've been mentally busy lately but here's a quick update!

Tietzes is still an issue for me, the cold weather has made it alot worse. My advice to all sufferers is wrap up warm before you venture out in the cold!

I feel that doctors are just offering me the same drugs, injections etc, and for me they don't work. They may work for others though!

Heat is my biggest and most sucessful weapon against Tietzes, especially for kids I would reccomend those cuddly toys you can microwave, they really help and are cute at the same time!!!

My pain is still primarily on my right side, but I have been noticing twinges on my left side more and more lately!

Hope all followers are ok and I'm sorry I haven't been aorund to answer questions etc, I'm going to message osme people now!

  3. hi,

Just found your blog while searching information on this condition. im sorry for the lengthof my comment! :P this is so new to me & scary as the symptoms of teitze resemble an invasive breast cancer that runs in my famly.
Do you know if this conditon casues major breast swelling? (like more than a cup size larger)
this past wknd, I noticed a major change in my leftbreast...swelling, tenderness & a large lump. it was examined externally by a doctor & he seemed alarmed so i go for an urgent mammogram & ultrasound in 2 days.
however...yesterday began the stabbing, sharp pain that would shoot from my left lung area across my chest. even waking me up the previous night. Very scared the pain was from an inflammatory breast cancer,my friends encouraged me to get it checked out. (My mother was diag. with bresat cancer at 39; just a few yrs away from now)
Upon examination yesterday for the horrible pain, the doc mentioned an arthritis symptom called costochondritis...he said there was inflammation of the cartilage, and immediately i remembered being diagnosed with that befroe. Relief flowed over me...although i still have the investigative tests in 2 days, im fairly certian thats what it is. it does suck though...so painful & keeps coming back:P I was given an antiinflammatory for it so start that soon.
My main concern is the major swelling in my left breast. so i wondered if this is common...aslo do you suffer from arthritis? I have several arthritis issues in my body, just havent had the specific type of arthritis investigated yet. maybe rheumatoid im thinking; many ppl in my family have that.
well, thanks for any help you can offer, i have never heard of teitze or costo- before i was told i have it, very confusing!
